We have created small art pieces as an offering for you; to receive something with heart centred with intentions, but most importantly support a crucial organisations that aid in liberating women.
Each A5 sized artwork comes with a burning stick made out of native Australian plants; eucalyptus leaves, bark, + rose petals and lavender.
Keep in mind the traditional purpose of smoking ceremonies within the Indigenous community. Native plants are used to burn and release smoke that gives off healing properties and clears the air of bad energies or spirits.
About the Organisations:
‘Sisters inside is an independent community organisation in Queensland, which advocates for the collective human rights of women and girls in prison.
Adult and youth prisons not only fail to address racism – they often add to them. Without housing, adequate income, accessible health care, and positive family and community life, women and girls are trapped in a vicious cycle with very few genuine choices to improve their lives.
Sisters Inside works alongside First Nations women and girls to build them up and to give them power over their own lives. We support them to address their priorities and needs. We also advocate on behalf of women with governments and within the legal system to try to achieve fairer outcomes.’
Grandmothers Against Removals
‘GMAR is created by local women for the good of their communities, to be the healer as well as voice for Aboriginal women whose children are taken from them.'
When the genocide of Indigenous people began, a large part of it was kidnapping their children, sending them to institutions where they were subject to mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual and physical abuse.
‘These kidnappings created intergenerational trauma, the effects of which we still fight every day.’
ALL OF THE PROFITS WILL GO TO SELECTED ORGANISATION.
WE LOVE YOU & WE THANK YOU.
